Botanical Diaries

Dyeing with botanicals for me is another way that I connect with nature, a way to continue my deep love affair with flora.

I find the process of bundle dyeing so exciting! Even if you use the same technique, the end product will be of a similar appearance, but never will it be the same.

Each piece has its own personality and tells it's own story through pattern and colour.

Almost all of the fleurs that I use in bundle dyes are hand picked from my garden, free of chemicals and grown for the purpose of dyeing - I prefer it this way, as I find more of my energy is infused into each piece.

This particular collection was inspired by our lush fields of Midwest wildflowers - little flower prints and bursts of colours.
